on touche au but
Le comité de pilotage de tous les acteurs
impliqués dans le projet BEST 3,
le 10 février
à Bruxelles, a été l’occasion pour Romain Re-
noux, coordinateur avec Amandine Vaslet de
BEST dans toute la Caraïbe, de présenter les
avancées en matière d’identification des zones
clés de la biodiversité dans les quinze terri-
toires européens de la région. Vingt ateliers de
consultation regroupant 130 organisations ont
été bouclés à ce jour et plus de 200 experts
ont été consultés en matière d’environnement
et de biodiversité. À ce jour, une soixantaine
de zones clés sont répertoriées et le travail de
synthèse en cours verra la publication en juin
2016 de la version finale du profil des écosys-
tèmes de la Caraïbe.

The steering committee for the BEST 3 pro-
ject met on February 10 in Brussels,
at which
time Romain Renoux, BEST co-coordinator for
the entire Caribbean with Amandine Vaslet,
presented news in terms of identification of
key zones for biodiversity in the 15 European
territories in the region. Twenty ateliers regrou-
ping 130 organizations were held that day, with
more than 200 experts consulted about the
environment and biodiversity. Sixty key zones
have been identified and a final synthesis will
be published in June 2016 with profiles of the
primary ecosystems of the Caribbean.
Mazda protège les tortues
Le groupe Mazda a fait une dona-
tion de 3 200 dollars à la Réserve
naturelle de Saint-Martin
pour son
programme de protection des tor-
tues marines. Maria Zildar Richards,
directrice du groupe Mazda pour la
Floride a remis ce chèque à Romain
Renoux, le jeudi 25 février 2016 au
Palm Beach... tout près d’un site de
ponte de tortues.

The Mazda group has made a
donation of $3,200 to the Ré-
serve Naturelle de Saint-Martin
in support of its program to protect
sea turtles. Maria Zildar Richards,
director of the Mazda group for
Florida, presented the check to
Romain Renoux, on Thursday, Fe-
bruary 25, 2016 in Palm Beach...
very close to a site where these
turtles lay their eggs.
