44 Réserve Naturelle SAINT MARTIN éserve aturelle I I Dans le cadre du Plan France Relance, l’OFB a lancé un appel à projets intitulé « MobBiodiv’Restauration des mi- lieux terrestres 2021 ». Le comité de sélection Antilles, dont fait partie Julien Chalifour, s’est réuni en visioconférence le 26 mai, pour examiner et évaluer les quatre projets retenus pour les Antilles : • Restauration écologique de l’ancienne décharge commu- nale en jardin botanique xérophile à l’anse Bertrand (Gua- deloupe). • Restauration écologique et confortement des boisements à Bois-Jolan/Helleux à Sainte-Anne en Guadeloupe, afin notamment de lutter contre l’érosion et favoriser la ponte des tortues marines.. • Revégétalisation de l’espace urbain et périurbain antillais en faveur des pollinisateurs, en introduisant en ville des es- pèces végétales endémiques et leurs pollinisateurs favoris (Guadeloupe et Martinique). • La capture de chèvres divagantes et la plantation d’arbres locaux à Saint-Barthélemy. 3000 à 5000 chèvres vivent en liberté sur les mornes de Saint-Barth et mettent à mal la végétation, au détriment d’autres espèces et des fonds ma- rins côtiers. Les résultats de l’examen de ces dossiers seront bientôt com- muniqués et les lauréats bénéficieront d’un accompagne- ment financier pour la mise en œuvre des actions retenues. MobBiodiv’Restauration des milieux terrestres : les gagnants - 3000 à 5000 chèvres en liberté à Saint-Barth - 3000 to 5000 wild goats in Saint Barth Action MS37 Participate in meetings, maintain, and reinforce partnerships with regional networks As part of the French Recovery Plan, the OFB sent out a call for projects titled “MobBiodiv’Restoration of Terrestrial Zones 2021.” The French Antilles selection committee, which in- cludes Julien Chalifour, met via video conference on May 26, to examine and evaluate the four projects in competition for the French Antilles: • Ecological restoration of the former communal dump into a botanical gardenwith drought-resistant plants in Anse Bertrand (Guadeloupe). • Ecological restoration and reinforcement of the vegetation at Bois-Jolan/Helleux in Sainte-Anne in Guadeloupe, primarily to fight against erosion and encourage egg-laying by sea turtles. • Re-planting of urban and peri-urban spaces in the French Antilles to increase pollination by introducing endemic vege- tation and their favorite pollinators to these areas (Guadeloupe and Martinique). • The capture of wild goats and the planting of local trees in Saint Barthélemy. Roughly 3000 to 5000 goats roam the hill- sides of Saint Barth and destroy the vegetation, to the detriment of other species and coastal sea beds. The committee’s decision on these projects will be announced shortly and the winners will receive financial support to get their projects underway.
