17 L’antenne du Conservatoire du littoral accueill- era le 1er mai un volontaire au service civique (VSC), qui pendant deux ans travaillera sur un plan de reconquête des étangs de Saint-Mar- tin. Un comité de gestion sera mis en place pour encadrer ce plan, qui va concerner toutes les problématiques des étangs : inondations, déversement d’eaux usées, remblais... L’objec- tif est de remettre en place les périmètres orig- inaux des étangs et notamment de vérifier les limites de propriété inscrites au cadastre, avant d’aménager les berges, de remettre en place les observatoires aux oiseaux détruits par Irma et les sentiers d’observation en bois, dans un délai de trois ans. Un suivi de la qualité des eaux des étangs est également inscrit au programme.
