16 Étudiante à l’Université Paul Sabatier de Tou- louse, Camille Sanchez est accueillie par la Ré- serve naturelle depuis le 18 février et jusqu’à la mi-août. Âgée de 28 ans, elle a choisi de suivre le parcours “Man & Biosphere” (MAB) dans le cadre de son master 2 en gestion de la biodi- versité. Dans l’esprit du programme MAB de l’UNESCO, cette formation insiste sur la con- naissance des interactions entre les activités hu- maines et les systèmes écologiques, pour une gestion durable des ressources naturelles. Sa mission à Saint-Martin consiste à suivre les pop- ulations d’oiseaux limicoles - qui se nourrissent sur les étangs - en ajoutant un axe sociologique à ce suivi scientifique. A student at the Paul Sabatier University in Tou- louse, Camille Sanchez has been working with the Réserve Naturelle since February 18 and will remain through mid-August. Her mission in Saint Martin consists of studying the populations of shorebirds that feed on the salt ponds, adding a sociological take to this scientific study.
